Conducive

भिक्षुओ, जो प्राणी हिंसा करता है, उसका अभ्यस्त होता है, उसको अधिक बढ़ता है, वह या तो नरक में पैदा होता है या पशु-योनी में जन्म ग्रहण करता है अथवा प्रेत बनता है l प्राणी-हिंसा का जो कम से कम दुष्परिणाम है, वह है मनुष्य-योनी में अल्पायु होना l
(1) "Bhikkhus, the destruction of life, repeatedly pursued, developed, and cultivated, is conducive to hell, to the animal realm, and to the sphere of afflicted spirits; for one reborn as a human being the destruction of life at minimum conduces to a short life span.

भिक्षुओ, जो चोरी करता है, उसका अभ्यस्त होता है, उसको अधिक बढ़ता है, वह या तो नरक में पैदा होता है या पशु-योनी में जन्म ग्रहण करता है अथवा प्रेत बनता है l चोरी करने का जो कम से कम दुष्परिणाम है, वह है मनुष्य-योनी में भोग्य-पदार्थो की हानि l
(2) "Taking what is not given, repeatedly pursued, developed, and cultivated, is conducive to hell, to the animal realm, and to the sphere of afflicted spirits; for one reborn as a human being taking what is not given at minimum conduces to loss of wealth.

भिक्षुओ, जो प्राणी काम-भोग सम्बन्धी मिथ्याचार करता है, उसका अभ्यस्त होता है, उसको अधिक बढ़ता है, वह या तो नरक में पैदा होता है या पशु-योनी में जन्म ग्रहण करता है अथवा प्रेत बनता है l काम-भोग सम्बन्धी मिथ्याचार का जो कम से कम दुष्परिणाम है, वह है मनुष्य-योनी में विरोधियो का बैर l
(3) "Sexual misconduct, repeatedly pursued, developed, and cultivated, is conducive to hell, to the animal realm, and to the sphere of afflicted spirits; for one reborn as a human being sexual misconduct at minimum conduces to enmity and rivalry.

भिक्षुओ, जो प्राणी झूठ बोलता है, उसका अभ्यस्त होता है, उसको अधिक बढ़ता है, वह या तो नरक में पैदा होता है या पशु-योनी में जन्म ग्रहण करता है अथवा प्रेत बनता है l झूठ बोलने का जो कम से कम दुष्परिणाम है, वह है मनुष्य-योनी में झूठा दोषारोपण होना l
(4) "False speech, repeatedly pursued, developed, and cultivated, is conducive to hell, to the animal realm, and to the sphere of afflicted spirits; for one reborn as a human being false speech at minimum conduces to false accusations.

भिक्षुओ, जो प्राणी चुगली खाता है, उसका अभ्यस्त होता है, उसको अधिक बढ़ता है, वह या तो नरक में पैदा होता है या पशु-योनी में जन्म ग्रहण करता है अथवा प्रेत बनता है l चुगली खाने का जो कम से कम दुष्परिणाम है, वह है मनुष्य-योनी में झूठा दोषारोपण होना l
(5) "Divisive speech, repeatedly pursued, developed, and cultivated, is conducive to hell, to the animal realm, and to the sphere of afflicted spirits; for one reborn as a human being divisive speech at minimum conduces to being divided from one's friends.

भिक्षुओ, जो प्राणी कठोर बोलता है, उसका अभ्यस्त होता है, उसको अधिक बढ़ता है, वह या तो नरक में पैदा होता है या पशु-योनी में जन्म ग्रहण करता है अथवा प्रेत बनता है l कठोर बोलने का जो कम से कम दुष्परिणाम है, वह है मनुष्य-योनी में अप्रिय वाणी सुनने को मिलना l
(6) "Harsh speech, repeatedly pursued, developed, and cultivated, is conducive to hell, to the animal realm, and to the sphere of afflicted spirits; for one reborn as a human being harsh speech at minimum conduces to disagreeable sounds.

भिक्षुओ, जो प्राणी बेकार (बकवास) बोलता है, उसका अभ्यस्त होता है, उसको अधिक बढ़ता है, वह या तो नरक में पैदा होता है या पशु-योनी में जन्म ग्रहण करता है अथवा प्रेत बनता है l बेकार (बकवास) बोलने का जो कम से कम दुष्परिणाम है, वह है मनुष्य-योनी में अनादर-युक्त वाणी सुनने को मिलना l
(7) "Idle chatter, repeatedly pursued, developed, and cultivated, is conducive to hell, to the animal realm, and to the sphere of afflicted spirits; for one reborn as a human being idle chatter at minimum conduces to others distrusting one's words.

भिक्षुओ, जो प्राणी सुरा मेरय आदि नशीले पदार्थो का सेवन करता है, उसका अभ्यस्त होता है, उसको अधिक बढ़ता है, वह या तो नरक में पैदा होता है या पशु-योनी में जन्म ग्रहण करता है अथवा प्रेत बनता है l सुरा मेरय आदि नशीले पदार्थो का सेवन करने का जो कम से कम दुष्परिणाम है, वह है मनुष्य-योनी में पागलपन l
(8) "Drinking liquor and wine, repeatedly pursued, developed, and cultivated, is conducive to hell, to the animal realm, and to the sphere of afflicted spirits; for one reborn as a human being drinking liquor and wine at minimum conduces to madness.
